  • Motor Vehicle Manufacturers
    • Automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) build vehicles to their specifications for the general consumer. Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota and Honda are all OEM's.
  • Structural Alterers
    • Structural alterers change the original structure of the motor vehicle. Examples are lowered floors, raised roofs and raised doors, most commonly performed on vans. These modifications can be performed before the sale of the vehicle or on customer owned vehicles. However, not all vehicles can have these modifications done.
  • Mobility Equipment Manufacturers
    • Mobility equipment manufacturers produce "bolt-on" equipment such as scooter lifts, hand controls and wheelchair tie-downs. Mobility equipment manufacturers sell their products through dealer networks to ensure the proper match between the customer, vehicle and mobility need.
  • Mobility Dealers
    • Mobility dealers focus their efforts on learning about and making available for their clients all kinds of adaptive equipment. It may be adapting a vehicle they currently own or helping with the selection and adapting of a new vehicle suited to their needs. It includes equipment ranging from grab handles to extensive full conversions for clients in wheelchairs who wish to drive. Mobility Access Options, Inc. is a mobility dealer.
  • Driver Rehabilitation Specialists
    • Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (CDRSs) are generally occupation therapists who have become qualified to help people with disabilities safely drive their motor vehicles. CDRSs make recommendations for specific equipment necessary for those driving needs. At this time, southern Oregon does not had a CDRS available for evaluations.
